Brainstorming Your Next Trade Show Booth

The first thing that attendees will notice is your booth design. A big thing to remember about trade shows is that you only have one chance to make a first impression. Participants can form opinions in as little as five seconds, giving you a very small window of opportunity to convert them into customers. The Trade Show Network Marketing Group has compiled a list of the top things to keep in mind when designing your next trade show booth.

  1. Objective. The first thing you should establish is your professional objective in regards to the trade show. Whether it is to increase brand awareness, make sales, or generate leads, your objective will determine the course of action for your booth design.
  2. Audience. Participate in trade shows that are relevant to your business goals and consider who will be in attendance. Knowing the audience will help you prepare accordingly.
  3. Know Your Space. Be aware of the details of your booth space. Know your booth dimensions, location, and any nearby exits and entrances. Also take note of electrical outlets and the Wi-Fi connection in the area. Contact the trade show venue ahead of time to gather logistical information.
  4. Show Your Brand. No matter what, your company name and brand should be clearly represented. Your display should consistently showcase your logo so customers won’t need to question who you are and what you do.
  5. Be Informative. Creativity is important, but don’t let that take away from the objective of your display. Don’t spend too much time making an extravagant display if it fails to convey your message to attendees. Remember that your display must be able to inform potential customers.
