CES Wrap Up | Technology Trends

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES)  kicks off every year in Las Vegas, NV. Tech companies try to dazzle attendees by showcasing the latest tech innovations. Industry wholesale buyers are on the lookout for what will excite the average consumer and gauge their buying impulses for the coming year.

Check out the hot trends from CES 2014.

  • Drive traffic with creativity. Ballistic Case sells high tech, rugged protective cases for uber-active users like firefighters, emergency personnel, construction workers and of course, you and me! Ballistic Case used the latest in virtual reality technology to immerse CES attendees in a 360 experience. The attention-grabbing video showed the dangerous activities that a cell phone can endure every day – being dropped on cement, run over by a car, and flushed down the toilet in a first-person point of view. Despite being located in the back of the exhibit hall, the Panoptix Events team helped create a buzz at the Ballistic Case booth (their largest trade show booth to date) and demand for their products on the show floor. Ballistic Case successfully created a destination location at the CES show by leveraging engaging interactive booth technology and a strong marketing brand presence.
  • Gaming system upgrades. Gamers can look forward to faster processors in gaming systems, more sensitive controllers, steam machines, and enhanced virtual reality! Watch these videos to learn more about these new gaming trends for 2014.
  • Cars are the next big thing. The Mercedes Benz exhibit was one of the most popular attractions at CES this year. Packed with innovative technology, we all drooled over the sleek new models equipped with the latest technology including predictive user experience. Predictive technology creates the ultimate driving experience by adapting to the driver’s habits and tracking driving patterns. After 2 to 3 weeks, the car can set desired temperature levels, radio station preferences, and can virtually drive itself if needed. Drivers can also interact with the car before and after driving with wearable devices such as smart watches and Google Glass. These advanced technology concepts displayed suggest that cars are the next big thing for consumer electronics.
