Technology in Your Trade Show Booth

Incorporating technology in your trade show booth is a great way to keep trade show attendees engaged and entertained. Most people have a Smartphone and expect to see technology at trade shows. Kristin Hovde provides three ways you can add technology to your trade show exhibit to enhance your overall exhibiting experience in her article, “How to Use Technology in Your Trade Show Booth.

  1. Video monitors are ideal for companies that are limited on staff. Leverage monitors to display product demonstrations or company history presentations. Monitors can also be used to entice attendees to stay near your booth instead of walking away. Monitors should be the right height and size for visitors to view.
  2. Smartphones and tablets are a great resource for capturing data and leads. Avoid illegible handwriting by snapping a photos of business cards. Mobile apps are available to create contacts from the data on business cards. A great way to ensure they do not walk away from your booth is to make sure mobile devices are available for use. Additionally, you should set up a station or kiosk with a tablet that enables visitors to browse your website for products and more information.
  3. Product brochures and pamphlets should be available in both print and digital forms. Carrying literature around a trade show can become very heavy, so some attendees will prefer information be emailed to them. However, printed brochures appeal to more traditional attendees. When in doubt, have both forms readily available for your guests.
