Thailand Emerging as Top Destination for Events

Thailand is quickly becoming one of the top Asian destinations for large trade shows. In the past, Thailand was usually overshadowed by other Asian countries for their ability to provide ample event space and lodging for large conventions. Recently, Thailand decided to step up and do their best to compete with the other Asian markets.

According to the article “Thailand Blends Authenticicty and Adventure for Unique Meetings” by Anna Huddleston, “The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) is investing more than $30 million into attracting and supporting mega-events, offering promotions to event organizers from key international markets.” The investment is expected to generate nearly $6 billion in revenue in the next two years. Anna also suggests that the TCEB is working hard to attract American trade show planners. Thailand is quickly becoming a business destination as well as a tourist hot spot.
